Field Trip

Okay, I'm finally getting around to putting our pictures on from our field trip yesterday.  We spent the day at Bloomsbury Farms.  A fellow homeschooling mom/friend of mine took her family here and inspired me to take my kiddos here too for a day of fun.  It was a great change of pace from doing school and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.  Below are pictures of the some of the highlights of the day.  Probably the biggest attraction to the kids was the jumping pillow.  A mammoth trampoline like thing to jump around on.  We spent probably a good hour and a half or more playing on this.  I took pictures for a little while, but it looked like too much fun to not join in.  So I worked the rest of the kinks out of my sore muscles and joined in the festivities.

We also visited the corn maze.  We took a map along of the maze and followed it as the last time we did one, the girls were very concerned that we were lost and were getting scared.  So we knew exactly where we were at all times and didn't take any wrong turns.  It was fun.  We even took a rest stop in the maze for snacks and water and sitting down for tired little legs.

Pedal go-carts were fun.  They had smaller ones too that were more Abby's size.  She enjoyed them.
A big tunnel slide.  Much fun.
Feeding the animals.  Abby preferred the goats since they were more her size.  She wasn't one bit afraid to offer them food on her hand.

Abby is stuffing her shirt with corn kernals here.  In the background, David is burying Ana in the corn.
Standing up with a belly full of corn.  Silly girl.
Sitting on the cow chair.
Other fun things we did, playing on the old tire maze, mini-golfing, watching a pig race, eat lunch, go through a barn maze.  There was a scarier "dread shed" that David and I went through.  Too scary for the girls - they didn't go through.  David didn't like it too much either.  We also took a wagon ride and went through the kiddie corn maze, and sampled some fudge.  We spent a good six hours there enjoying every minute of it.  No one complained about anything.  We were all tired out on the way home, but happy to have a day full of good memories.  It's definitely a place we'll go to again next year.
