Holidays, Birthdays, and A Battered Tree

Image
Abby dressed Keilah up in one of her own dresses the other day. It was cute and Keilah liked wearing Abby's clothes. Let's hope Abby continues to think it's cute and funny when Keilah discovers that she can put Abby's clothes on all by herself. All day long. Keilah is in love with our broom and if it is ever left out and unattended for more than three seconds, she claims it as hers and insists on sweeping, which is mainly pushing the broom back and forth and waving it around dangerously. David was in charge of sweeping the floors one night and Keilah got to the broom first and would not let go. David solved his problem by using Keilah as the extension of the broom and working with her to sweep. Not much got done but they both had a fun time.  I got all crafty for my high school seminar kids that Aaron and I are "parents" for and made them turkeys before their Thanksgiving break. No, I did not come up with this idea by myself. That is what the internet

Triplets Nine Years Apart

Aaron and I always comment that by looking at one of our girls, you've seen them all. Apparently, I had triplets nine years apart. Below are 20 different pictures of the girls at similar ages. See if you can figure out who is who. I tried to find pictures without obvious clues in the background (siblings, house changes, etc.), though if you look really closely and know us well you'll be able to pick up a few giveaways. Last Days of Warm Weather

Image
Now that snow is on the ground and the temperatures haven't gotten above freezing for awhile, I've been holed up in my cozy little home. Below are a few pictures of our last few days of lovely fall weather. I tried to do a few things to take advantage of going outside without 23 layers to put on myself and Keilah. Below, Keilah and I spent some time at the park so she could go down the slides nonstop. After awhile, she finally tired of slides and decided to ride each of these three horses. She needed help getting on each one. After being placed on the horse, she would rock it maniacally for approximately 5 seconds before getting off and wanting on the next one. We did that for quite awhile as we worked on the colors. "Blue Horse" "Yellow Horse" "White Horse"  Halloween came and went and we had a fun time. Aaron was off at State Cross Country, so I took the girls out trick or treating. Ana tried to dress up as Princess Zelda from a vi

So it's been awhile...

...since I last posted anything. I was a bit busy with middle school cross country, but now it is over for me and I have a bit more time to do things like cook food for my family, clean up the house, and blog. The middle school kids had such a great season - the girls team was state champion! There were PR's all over the place on both boys and girls side at the state meet. So much fun! High school cross country is still going for a couple more weeks. This week is the state qualifying meet. Both of our boys and girls team will hopefully make it. David ran a great season and vastly improved from the beginning of the year, but missed out on varsity the last meet of the season. He is the team alternate, so he gets to keep training and go along with the team to the qualifying meet and state. I'm proud of all he accomplished this year and his positive attitude to keep on going. We found some new to us carpet for free! Someone was getting rid of their perfectly good carpet after
