Bad Melissa

I went to log onto my facebook account this morning only to find out my account has been "disabled".  What?  I looked for answers as to why this suddenly happened and the only generic reasons given for an account being disabled are:
"All accounts must abide by the following policies:
■Continued prohibited behavior after receiving a warning or multiple warnings from Facebook
■Unsolicited contact with others for the purpose of harassment, advertising, promoting, dating, or other inappropriate conduct
■Use of a fake name
■Impersonation of a person or entity, or other misrepresentation of identity
■Posted content that violates Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities (this includes any obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit photos, as well as any photos that depict graphic violence. We also remove content, photo or written, that threatens, intimidates, harasses, or brings unwanted attention or embarrassment to an individual or group of people)

Depending on the severity of the violation, it is not guaranteed that you will receive a warning prior to becoming disabled. Unfortunately, accounts that are disabled for severe violations of Facebook's Statement of Rights and Responsibilities cannot be restored."

Wow.  Pretty sure I didn't violate any of those things.  So I am appealing their sudden decision.  Maybe they confused me with another Melissa.  There's plenty of us out there.  I guess not all Melissa's are nice.  : )  Anyway, it's probably good for me to take some time away from the computer.  I tend to get caught up in wasting time with it.  I had even thought about not appealing the decision and just stopping Facebook cold turkey.  We'll see.  I do enjoy being able to connect with friends I don't see all that often.  I would miss that.  I went on Aaron's account to check it out and see if my account had gotten hacked into and inappropriate things sent, but there was no record of me at all.  It's like I never existed in the Facebook world.  All traces of me have vanished.  Weird.

All for now.  I need to go and shuttle David around to music lessons today.
