Weekend Recap

I had a great weekend full of all sorts of fun things.  Spent yesterday at my parents house once we got home from church.  We celebrated Father's Day there along with my Grandpa's 89th birthday.  I didn't get a picture of the birthday boy, but I did get a picture of my ever adorable grandma along with my absolutely gorgeous sister. 
Table ping pong is back!  We upgraded at the end of last year from using books as paddles to having official ping pong paddles.  However this year, only one paddle can be found.  David lets Ana have that while he uses a book.  Abby decided to help out with a bigger paddle and tried to use the white board to help.  They all thought it was pretty hilarious. 
David ran a 5K race on Friday.  He did better than he did in his last one.  He ran the whole way without any walking.  He was happy with himself and even happier to find out he won his age group (not too many 9-13 year olds want to run a 5K - he was the only one).  He was delighted with his gold medal.  Aaron let him borrow an old CC uniform that he had.  Makes David look official.  :) 
Ana had her little birthday party on Saturday.  She had two little friends over - both homeschool girls.  It's nice to see her friendship base expand to include more girls.  It was cute to watch them all play together.  They went from drawing girly pictures of rainbows and castles on a beautiful sunny day here to playing with the wooden swords and spears while pretending to be pirates.  A good mix of play!

Abby's New Look

We've had a busy last week or so.  Here's some big news in Abby's life.  She lost her two front teeth. They came out about four days apart.  She truly lost the second tooth and wasn't able to put it under her pillow for the tooth fairy.  The tooth fairy apparently isn't as vigiliant about leaving money when there is no actual tooth to collect.  But after a few days, our tooth fairy remembered and finally slipped some money under Abby's pillow along with an extra quarter for having to wait so long for her to decide to show up.  At the same time, David had a tooth under his pillow for about three weeks waiting for the tooth fairy.  The tooth fairy finally had to visit during the day when he wasn't in his room, when she finally remembered to pick up the tooth.  It's hard on the tooth fairy to show up when David stays up later than the tooth fairy does these days.  Here's Abby's new look: She's also delighted with the fact that she doesn't ha
