Happy Anniversary!

Thirteen years ago today, I got married.  I'm still very happy about this decision and consider it one of the best ones I've ever made.  I didn't imagine that I would be even more in love with Aaron today than I was on my wedding day.  I was pretty in love with him that day, but it seems like a pale comparison to today.  Here we are freshly married - aren't we cute?
So before you all start gagging on the sentimental sap oozing from me, I'll quit.  But I want you to know how grateful and thankful I am to have this man in my life.  He's awesome and I love him!

To celebrate our anniversary, we went on a date last night.  Yea!  We ended up in Muscatine which is a fair drive away.  We walked along the Mississippi for awhile, sat and people watched, snuggled happily together, and ended up at a fabulous little restaurant called Salvatore's.  It's a little authentic Italian pizzeria that serves more than pizza.  AMAZING!  I'm pretty sure that I consumed about 4000 calories in my portabella stuffed ravioli that was covered in a sauce made of "butter, real cream, and parmesan cheese."  I savored every bite and didn't want it to end.  Ever.  It's probably good we don't live there or I would want to eat there every night and then I'd gain about 450 pounds from eating butter, real cream and cheese every night.  We were also provided with entertainment in the restaurant from the kitchen staff.  A very angry lady along with about 8 men marched back into the kitchen as we were happily eating (Aaron and I were seated in the back near the kitchen) and the lady began a very angry domestic dispute with one of the workers there.  We couldn't hear everything that she said, but she was very irate and had back-up with her Italian mafia.  Just when we were wondering if we should duck under the tables for our safety, the police showed up and calmly came in through both exits to dispel the tension and escort angry lady and her mob off the premises.  The somewhat funny thing about it was that when a waitress came by to apologize for the disturbance, she said, "I'm sorry.  This doesn't happen very often," leaving us to wonder just how often this does happen!

On other notes, we've had a bit of rain lately and the girls have greatly enjoyed playing in the mud puddles under their swing with Abby's little dolls.  They get get completely filthy, but have a blast together.
I was trying to get a picture of Abby and her mud covered shirt.  She saw the camera and turned into a goofball.

And finally, our tadpoles are devoloping nicely.  We had four make it into adulthood so far, with more on their way.  We released them yesterday back where they came from to be reunited with their long lost siblings, cousins, and other distant relatives.  Here are a few before they lost their tails.
