We Made It!

I know I haven't posted for a little while. Christmas was busy, but fun, and we made it through in one piece! Here are a couple of highlights from Christmas week. Keilah got to wear her cute reindeer hat for Christmas. She's obviously thrilled to pieces by it.
Abby got this "fake American Girl doll" as she likes to call it. She got it from my mom and told her that it's the best present she has ever received. She takes it with her all over the place. On Sunday, she tried her best to match her doll with her clothes and hair.  I think the doll's name is Rosalind according to Abby.
Ana's gift this year had to do with sewing.  My mom got her a sewing basket (my mom struck gold this year with the girls as they both told her that it was the best gift they'd ever received). I got her a bunch of cloth and sewing supplies, along with some free downloaded patterns to make doll clothes.  She was quite delighted with that gift.
David got a 1000 piece puzzle of the periodic table (yes, he is a nerd, and that's what he wanted), some puzzle books, and some Legos (again a bonus from my mom!).
Here is Keilah with her Great Grandma Jean. Love those generational pictures!
Abby and Keilah each got a Santa hat. Abby was very excited to take a picture with them both wearing their hats.  Keilah felt too sleepy to care.
We had both sides of the family out this year, so it was a very busy week of splitting our time going from my family to Aaron's family. The kids loved all the cousin time and loved going to both places.  I had a lot of fun too, but realized I'm not quite back to myself yet from having Keilah, as I still get worn out a lot sooner than I used to.  This is what happens Sunday afternoon when everyone goes home after a full week of family activities.
Keilah is sleeping on my lap and I fell asleep sitting up. Ana apparently took these pictures of me while I zonked out for three hours like this.  Keilah didn't stir either. We were both tired girls.
And here is a good benefit of having a professional photographer as a sister in law. I mentioned that I wanted to have a picture of our family and she said she would take one for us. So we all tromped outside in the snow for a very quick five minute family photo shoot as it was quite cold outside that day. Thanks, Keesha, for taking our picture and thanks, Brian, for quickly editing it!  The reason Abby has a decent smile in this picture is because Keilah was happily filling her diaper during the picture taking time. Abby found that to be quite funny. Gotta love 6 year old humor.

  2. I love the family picture!! You all look so healthy and happy. :) I think you need ONE MORE kid. Just seems like you and Aaron are so good at making healthy babies. :)

  3. Oh and I forgot to add that my Abby has a "fake American girl doll" too. And she likes to say that too. She had a friend over this past weekend and specifically told her she was fake. I told Abby she didn't need to tell her that and then Abby says "but it's the truth mom." :)
